The Thermodynamic Steam Trap is simple and compact with a single moving part (disc) which opens to discharge condensate and closes in the presence of steam. Body materials are available in Stainless and Alloy Steels for pressures up to 3,600 psig. It is widely used in higher pressure drip applications and critical tracing applications where condensate back-up is not permitted.
Applications: Draining condensate from steam mains and steam supply lines. They can also be used for steam tracing applications.
The IB Inverted Bucket Steam Traps were specifically designed for removing Steam Traps are HIGH CAPACITY Float & Thermostatic Steam Traps that were specifically condensate from steam mains & steam supply lines. Inverted Bucket traps can also be used on unit heaters, laundry equipment and other less critical process applications where slow start-up due to poor air handling characteristics can be tolerated. Inverted bucket traps can handle superheated steam when a check valve is used on the inlet side which prevents the trap from losing prime. Maximum Steam Pressure is 250 PSIG. Available in 1/2" thru 11/2"NPT connections.
IB Series "Inverted Bucket Stean Traps"
- IB Series Without Strainer – IB1031/1032/1033/1034
- IB Series With Strainer – IB1041/1031S/1042/1044/1038S
Helpful Selection Information: Select a model with a maximum operating pressure (PMO) that meets or exceeds the maximum steam pressure or the trap may not open. For example, the IB-1032-14-N-250 has a PMO of 250 PSIG. Choose a model that will handle the capacity requirement based on the differential pressure across the trap.
Note: For FTES, Max Operating Steam Pressure is upto 300 PSIG
