The SIB & SIBH Inverted Bucket Steam Traps were specifically designed for removing condensate from steam mains & steam supply lines. Inverted Bucket traps can also be used on unit heaters, laundry equipment and other smaller less critical process applications where slow start-up due tothe poor air handling characteristics of inverted bucket traps can be tolerated. Inverted bucket traps can handle superheated steam when a check valve is used on the inlet side to prevent the trap from losing its prime. Maximum Steam pressure is 450 PSIG. Available in 1/2" & 3/4" NPT and Socket Weld connections. The stainless steel body is seal welded and therefore these units are non-repairable. The SIBH is physically larger and has higher capacity than the SIB.
SIB & SIBH Series
- SIB – Normal Capacity
- SIBH – Physically Larger & Higher Capacity than SIB
Useful Note: Built-in Inlet Check Valve is recommended when used on Superheated Steam.
Helpful Selection Information: The PMO (maximum operating pressure) rating of model selected must meet or exceed the maximum steam pressure or the trap may not open. For example; the SIB-12-N-150 has a PMO of 150 PSIG. Condensate capacity (lbs/hr) of the trap is based on the differential pressure across the trap.
