Description

SUCT Series — Suction / Mixing Tees

The SUCT Series Suction and Mixing Tees are specialized pipe fittings designed for blending, agitation, recirculation, mixing, aeration, and heating applications. Available in Cast Iron, Bronze, or Stainless Steel, these tees create controlled suction or mixing action through engineered internal flow dynamics. With NPT threaded connections and pressure ratings up to 300 PSIG, the SUCT Series offers reliable performance for industrial tanks, process systems, and fluid transfer operations.

Product Overview

  • Designed for suction, mixing, heating, or aeration of liquids
  • Creates controlled low-pressure regions to induce fluid movement
  • Operates effectively in submerged or inline applications
  • Available in Cast Iron, Bronze, and Stainless Steel
  • Threaded NPT connection design
  • Suitable for industrial and utility fluid systems

Material Specification

  • Body Material: Cast Iron, Bronze, or Stainless Steel

Technical Specification

  • Sizes: 1/2" through 3"
  • Connection: Threaded, NPT
  • Maximum Operating Pressure: up to 300 PSIG

Operating Principles

Heating by Direct Steam Injection: When steam is injected through the primary inlet, a low-pressure zone forms inside the Suction Tee, drawing liquid into the body where the steam mixes and heats the fluid.

Mixing: When pumped liquid flows into the primary inlet, a low-pressure region develops and induces circulation through the secondary inlet, producing a mixing effect. The tee may also be used to mix two different liquids via separate primary and secondary inlets.

Aeration: A tank or reservoir may be aerated by connecting the secondary inlet to an air or gas line under pressure while pumping liquid through the primary inlet.
