  • Thermodynamic Steam Traps TD600 Series
  • The Thermodynamic Steam Trap is simple and compact with a single moving part (disc) which opens to discharge condensate and closes in the presence of steam. Body materials available are Stainless and Alloy Steels for pressures up to 3,600 psi. Widely used on higher pressure drip applications and critical tracing applications (where condensate back-up is not permitted).

Applications: Draining condensate from steam mains and steam supply lines. They can also be used for steam tracing applications.

TD600 vs TD600L

  • TD600 Standard Model - Will operate over full pressure range up to 600 PSIG.
  • TD600L High-Pressure Model - Recommended on pressures over 150 PSIG for improved efficiency.

Note: The TD600 Steam Trap body and seat is a one piece integral design and therefore can NOT be welded; the excessive heat of welding will cause damage to the seat area. Socket Weld or Flange connections are NOT available. If a repairable design or welding in line of a Thermodynamic type trap is required, we recommend the TD700S or the UTD450 with Universal Connector Series.

Helpful Selection Information: The TD600L has reduced size discharge orifice holes which are preferable in terms of performance, longevity and efficiency; particularly on pressures over 150 PSIG. For most drip applications the 1/2” TD600L should have sufficient capacity. For higher load drip applications or if a 3/4” pipe connection is required, use 3/4” TD600L for best results. Choosing a model with a condensate handling capacity in the range of the specific application will prolong trap life.
