The Thermodynamic Steam Trap is simple and compact with a single moving part (disc) which opens to discharge condensate and closes in the presence of steam. Body materials are available in Stainless and Alloy Steels for pressures up to 3,600 psig. It is widely used in higher pressure drip applications and critical tracing applications where condensate back-up is not permitted.
Applications: Draining condensate from steam mains and steam supply lines. They can also be used for steam tracing applications.
The WT2000 is a Medium Capacity Thermostatic steam trap made from Stainless Steel and is often used for process applications because of their excellent air venting capability. These versatile traps are also used for steam tracing, as drip traps on steam mains and supply lines or as an air-vent for heat exchangers. The WT2000 is small and compact and contains an integral strainer. Available in 1/2 and 3/4 NPT threaded connections. The WT2000 is seal welded and is therefore non-repairable. It can NOT be welded in-line or failure of the Thermal Element may occur.
Helpful Selection Information: Two orifice sizes are available: 5/16 standard capacity or 3/16 reduced capacity. The 5/16 orifice is generally used on process applications and the 3/16 reduced orifice is used for steam tracing or on drip applications.
