VCC Series — Carbon Steel Vertical Condensate Coolers
The VCC Series Vertical Condensate Coolers are designed to reduce the temperature of hot condensate before it is safely discharged to a drain. These units utilize cooling water, which is directed into an integrated temperature-regulating valve to maintain the desired condensate outlet temperature. By ensuring condensate temperatures meet environmental and safety standards, the VCC Series provides reliable performance in steam and condensate systems. Each unit is ASME Code Stamped for superior safety and durability.
Efficient Condensate Temperature Reduction
The VCC Series features heavy-duty carbon steel construction and is built for continuous operation in demanding industrial environments. A float and thermostatic (F&T) steam trap is included on the outlet to prevent steam loss and ensure proper condensate drainage. The standard temperature regulator is adjustable from 50°F to 140°F, allowing precise control of cooling performance. Additional cooling or customized specifications are available upon request.

Operating Principles
Hot condensate enters the VCC unit where cooling water is automatically regulated through the temperature control valve to achieve the desired outlet temperature. The heat transfer process lowers the condensate temperature to acceptable discharge levels. A built-in float and thermostatic steam trap then removes any residual air or steam, ensuring only cooled condensate is released. This system provides efficient, automatic temperature control and protects piping, drains, and equipment from thermal damage.
