WFLH Series — Flash Steam Recovery Horizontal Vessels
The WFLH Series Flash Steam Recovery Horizontal Vessels are carbon steel flash tanks designed to capture and utilize flash steam generated from hot condensate. Installed in condensate return systems, these vessels separate flash steam from condensate, allowing the steam to be recovered for low-pressure applications while condensate is safely discharged. This process improves overall system efficiency and reduces energy loss.
Efficient Flash Steam Recovery
The WFLH Series is engineered to handle incoming high-temperature condensate and efficiently separate flash steam within a horizontal pressure vessel. Recovered flash steam is typically piped to low-pressure steam users, while cooled condensate exits through the bottom of the tank. Optional internal drop leg designs are available to help control discharge temperature and ensure smooth operation.

Operating Principles
Hot condensate enters the WFLH vessel and experiences a rapid pressure drop, causing a portion of the condensate to flash into steam. The vessel provides adequate separation volume, allowing flash steam to rise and exit through the vent connection for reuse. The remaining condensate collects at the bottom of the vessel and is discharged through the outlet connection, with optional internal drop legs available to control discharge conditions.
