WFLV Series — Carbon Steel Flash Steam Recovery Vessels
The WFLV Series Flash Steam Recovery Vessels are engineered for installation in condensate return systems to recover and utilize flash steam produced from high-temperature condensate. When hot condensate enters the tank and experiences a pressure drop, a portion of the liquid flashes into steam. The WFLV vessel efficiently separates this flash steam from the remaining liquid and directs it for reuse in low-pressure steam applications, improving overall system energy efficiency. All vessels are ASME Code Stamped for safety and reliability.

Constructed from durable carbon steel and designed for long service life, the WFLV Series is ideal for industrial steam systems where energy recovery is essential. These vessels improve overall plant efficiency by reclaiming usable flash steam while ensuring safe handling of high-temperature condensate. Models are available in multiple tank diameters with connections from 2" to 6", supporting a maximum operating pressure of 150 PSIG (higher pressures available upon request).

Operating Principles
When high-temperature condensate is discharged into the WFLV Flash Tank, a pressure drop occurs, causing part of the condensate to rapidly vaporize into flash steam. Inside the vessel, gravity separation ensures that steam rises and exits through the top outlet while the remaining liquid settles to the bottom for return to the condensate system. This design provides consistent steam separation, reduces condensate line pressure issues, and increases heat recovery efficiency.
