WFPV Series — Stainless Steel Freeze Protection Valves
The WFPV Series Freeze Protection Valves are stainless steel safety devices designed to protect piping, valves, pumps, condensate systems, and freeze-sensitive equipment from damage caused by freezing temperatures. These valves automatically drain fluid when temperatures approach freezing, preventing pipe rupture, equipment failure, and costly downtime.
Automatic Freeze Protection
The WFPV Series provides reliable, self-actuating freeze protection without the need for external power or controls. When ambient or water temperature falls below the valve’s activation point, the valve opens to allow liquid to drain from the system. Once temperatures rise to a safe level, the valve automatically closes.

Operating Principles
The WFPV valve contains a temperature-sensitive element that continuously monitors fluid temperature within the valve body. When the temperature drops below approximately 35°F, the valve opens to discharge fluid and prevent freezing. The valve remains open as long as the temperature stays below 40°F. When the temperature rises above this threshold, the valve closes automatically to restore normal system operation.
