Description
WSSCV Series — Stainless Steel Check Valves
The WSSCV Series Stainless Steel Check Valves are designed for steam, gas, and liquid service where prevention of reverse flow is critical. These valves help minimize water hammer, protect pumps by stopping backflow, and support efficient system operation. Commonly used in petrochemical, paper, textile, and food & beverage industries, the WSSCV Series offers longer service life and more reliable performance compared to bronze or cast iron check valves.
Reliable Backflow Prevention
The WSSCV Series features a precision-guided disc that opens with forward flow and closes automatically when flow stops or reverses. This design ensures fast response, reduced noise, and dependable sealing. A wide range of cracking pressure options allows proper selection for various system requirements.
Material Specification
- Body & Disc: Stainless Steel
- Spring: Inconel X-750
Technical Specification
- Sizes: 1/2" to 3"
- Connections: Threaded (NPT), Socket Weld (SW)
- Cracking Pressure: 0 PSI, 0.25 PSI, 0.5 PSI, 5 PSI
- Maximum Operating Pressure: 500 PSIG
Operating Principles
When system flow begins, pressure overcomes the spring force and opens the valve disc, allowing fluid to pass through. When flow stops or reverses, the spring immediately forces the disc closed, preventing backflow. This automatic action protects system components, reduces shock, and maintains stable operation.
